Play it light, like kite day on the headland

Free coins, and still 19+

On screen, social casino reels look, sound and move just like real gambling. So the cove is kept for adults over the legal gambling age: Saltbox Cove is not aimed at anyone under 19. Dulse checks your age twice, once on the banner at the top of the planks and again with the tick you make when your account is created.

What Dulse will never allow

• Real-money gambling of any kind, run or promoted from the stagehead.
• Hanging up prizes of real-world value.
• Coin sales, or in-app purchases tucked into a shed.
• Links leading off the wharf to gambling operators or affiliates.
• Countdowns or streaks meant to tug you back to the planks.

A straight word from the stagehead

A free game may be set to feel kind, and it refills your pail for nothing; real-money games do neither. A lucky week in the cove says nothing about how you would fare with real money riding on it.

Signs to watch for, like fog creeping in

• Spinning on long after you meant to stop.
• Snapping at folk when the reels stop.
• Using the stagehead to hide from a mood.
• Lost sleep, missed work or friends left waiting on the reels.
• Looking about for a real-money version of the same thing.

Holding the course

• Pick your finishing time before you sit down to spin.
• Leave autoplay switched off in every shed.
• Get up from the reels for regular breaks.
• Wipe this site’s data and everything starts from nothing; to leave the cove for good, block the site in your device settings.
